“Powering Forward” Listening Project

Exploring Energy Transitions in NEPA Communities

About the Project

This campaign aims to engage community members in small group conversations to understand their perspectives on the current and potential shifts in the fossil fuel system and workforce. Through these conversations, we hope to gain insights into the hopes, fears, opportunities, and barriers facing communities, as well as their visions for the future. Our focus is on real-life experiences and stories, with open-ended prompts designed to spark conversation.

With the help of Cortico and Deloitte, using innovative tools from MIT Center for Constructive Communication (MIT CCC), we want to hear about your experiences.

Participants will receive a $40 gift card incentive for their time and participation, and their input will inform insights and recommend solutions for improving the future of local economies. The conversations will be recorded for research purposes, but personal information will be kept confidential and only geographic location, age, and employment status/occupation will be displayed on an interactive site where participants can filter through and hear from voices across the country.
